Earlier today we were proud to host elders from the McLeod lake Indian Band, Mayor Keith Bertrand, and our partners the Tumbler Ridge Community Forest to open a new trail behind the Visitor’s Centre. The trail is wide and smooth and features several interpretive signs informing visitors of the history of the area, the geology, and wildlife and fauna that can be enjoyed.
The McLeod lake band graciously shared stories from the land and helped us with some Tse’khene pronunciation.
The trail circles a small pond and has a viewing platform from which to enjoy the tranquility of this little gem in our backyard.
