Biography<\/h4>\n

As Northern BC Tourism Association\u2019s Destination Development Specialist, April is responsible for leading the destination development planning in the Northern Tourism Region. \u00a0\u00a0April and her husband raised their family in Tumbler Ridge from 1986 to 1998.\u00a0 Through her work, long time friendships and involvement as a TRUGG Board member, April maintains a strong connection to the community. \u00a0After moving to Fort St. John and serving as Executive Director for the Alaska Highway Community Society for ten years, April joined Northern BC Tourism Association in 2008. In 2010, she earned a Masters in Tourism Management from Royal Roads University Studies which guides her passion for rural tourism development including heritage and corridor management projects and Indigenous tourism engagement.\u00a0 Recently, April has taken on the additional role as a Program Advisor for the provincial Tourism Resiliency Program providing businesses with one-to-one support to navigate the impact of COVID-19 pandemic. Working from her home office in Langley, April is both grateful to be close to family and to continue to work with Northern communities and businesses.<\/p>\n
