Biography<\/h4>\n

As head of the British Columbia Geological Survey, Adrian directs the research activities of the Survey and oversees its mandate to provide geoscientific information for informed decision making and investment in BC mineral resources.
\nAdrian has been the Ministry of Energy, Mines, and Petroleum Resources\u2019 Chief Geologist since 2017 after serving as Director of the Cordilleran Geoscience Section at the Survey since 2012. Prior to working at the BC Geological Survey, Adrian was a project geologist and later Director of Resource Development and Geoscience in the Oil and Gas Division at the Ministry. Adrian is a Quaternary geologist with research interests in Quaternary history and land systems, drift prospecting, near-surface geophysics, stratigraphy and sedimentology, groundwater, fluvial architecture and geomorphology, drift thickness and bedrock topography mapping, aggregate potential mapping, ultra-shallow gas and shale gas. Adrian received his B.Sc. Simon Fraser University and his M.Sc. and Ph.D. from the University of Victoria.<\/p>\n
